This is from the flash mob I witnessed downtown today; I’ve never seen one in real life before! I think it was a flash mob; nobody I asked could confirm it, even though they all thought it was one too. Anyway it was just so much fun to watch and the folks in it were having even more fun.

Stranger #4 The Joy of Childhood

She was playing with her bubble blower at the pier. I got permission from her grandparents to take her picture. I think she got a bit self conscious once I stated clicking, she kept blowing bubbles, but her smile completely disappeared. Until she blew this huge bubble, then her eyes grew wide and her face broke into the biggest smile. I am glad I got to capture that face.

Strangers #3 Young Love

Ah, young love! :) I saw this young teen couple standing on the pier right in front of the setting sun. I asked them if they would pose for me and specifically if they would kiss for the camera. I wanted to capture their silhouette framed against the sunset. Little did I know then that they were on their first date! Obviously he was very eager to oblige. He asked her if she is okay with it, she hesitated for a second before saying yes. And then they started kissing. They just went for it. They didn’t care about the camera angle or getting the sunshine right between their silhouettes or even that there was a camera pointed at them. They Just Wanted to Kiss. Forever! I didn’t get the shot I had in mind, but the ones I got were so much better. So candid. So romantic!

They are the friendliest strangers I've met on the street so far, super chill! Didn't even demand cash when I asked if I could take their picture. I did my part to make their day a bit better anyway. Happy 4/20 people, Keep Calm and Stay High!
